Czech Art Nouveau antique foil pink peacock eye round glass cabochon. With a clear glass base, a layer of silver foil and a dome of clear glass with a central pink "eye".
The making of this glass was very labor intensive, so these stones were used in either precious metal or in very fashionable costume jewelry settings including the styles of Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Arts and Crafts, and also in the vintage jewelry era. The stones were exported to other countries such as Germany and England where they were used to make fine gold and silver jewelry.
