Button Impression Dies
These are collectible unique steel impression die hub negatives, originally for use in the production of press molded glass buttons, beads or cabochons. The negative was intricately hand-engraved and was used to create the actual mold in a softer metal that would then be set in long metal pliers and used to hand press fancy glass buttons, beads or cabochons. These dies could still be used for press molding glass buttons, cabochon beads or jewelry findings, art design, home decor or for general hobby crafting with metal, clay, resin, plastic, plaster, leather or soft metals.
