20mm Antique Czech rare intaglio reverse hand gold gilt pictorial crystal art glass cabochon with reverse black japanned finish. Some rubbing to the japanned finish. This style of stunning cabochon was made for the fine statement jewelry design market, often found in pendants, lockets and pin brooches. With a flat back, suitable for gluing into bezel settings, onto flat back bails or even directly on to fabric.
