Lot (45) rare Austrian D.S antique black lined crystal bicolor cube faceted glass beads 6-9mm. These are beautiful, unusual beads made entirely by hand and using high quality glass. Each started as a round pressed bead which was faceted to shape entirely by hand. Being hand faceted they may not be perfect cubes. Premium quality vintage glass beads in excellent vintage condition.
Size: 6 -9mm; 4/16" - 6/16"
These were found in an early sealed Daniel Swarovski export box from around 1910. The Swarovski story began in 1895 in Wattens, Austria, when Daniel Swarovski invented a machine for cutting and polishing crystal. His invention not only revolutionized crystal manufacturing; it went on to inspire the worlds of jewelry, fashion, art, design and cinema over the next 120 years.
