Lot (13) rare Austrian D.S antique cube faceted glass beads 10/11mm

Lot (13) rare Austrian D.S antique cube faceted glass beads 6-10mm. These are beautiful, unusual beads made entirely by hand and using high quality glass. Each started as a round pressed bead which was faceted to shape entirely by hand. Being hand faceted they may not be perfect cubes. These are drilled diagonally which is unusual and there will be some small blemishes at the drill points. Premium quality vintage glass beads in excellent vintage condition.

These were found in an early sealed Daniel Swarovski export box from around 1910. The Swarovski story began in 1895 in Wattens, Austria, when Daniel Swarovski invented a machine for cutting and polishing crystal. His invention not only revolutionized crystal manufacturing; it went on to inspire the worlds of jewelry, fashion, art, design and cinema over the next 120 years.
