Sample card (68) Czech Bohemian Vintage hand made red died and coated natural wooden beads. This card shows 12 design variations and up to 5 size variations that were available. These were made by the famous Schowanek company, an early 20th century manufacturer of wooden toys and goods established by Johann Schowanek in the town of Desná in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The town is now located in the Czech Republic and the company is now based in Germany.
In excellent condition although the card has some foxing and creasing.
For jewelry making, fashion design, sewing and crafting.
Origin: N. Bohemia / Czech 1950's
