Vintage Czech 1960's cranberry clear bicolor glass bowl Josef Hospodka Chřibská

A classic mid century hand made flame worked sculptural Czech art glass bowl, designed by Josef Hospodka in the 1960's and manufactured by the Chřibská glassworks. Combination of pink and transparent glass. With a classic 5 point shape with two points folded back toward the centre. Good used vintage condition with a few tiny fleabites and scratches when viewing up close. Quite a few bubbles in the glass

The Chřibská glassworks, full name Sklárna Chřibská, was founded in the early fifteenth century, and stayed in production until very recently. In 1882 it was bought by the Mayer family. Chřibská became part of the Borske Sklo National Corporation during the 1950's. Chief designer at this time was Josef Hospodka, who specialised in sculptural blown glass designs.
