Long vintage Czech necklace element red white rondelle glass beads

30" Vintage Železný Brod Czech Bohemian necklace element with a super selection of red and white rondelle glass beads. This necklace strand has no clasp but has the metal loops to attach one of choice.

The history of glass production and processing in Železný Brod dates back to the middle of the 19th century, when domestic production and processing of small glass products began to grow from neighboring Jablonec. In 1948, with the nationalization of private companies, Zeleznobrodské sklo was formed. These necklaces are from the "glass products library" of Železnobrodské sklo and were unique examples of what the company could produce, showing the styles, beads and findings available. These cards were never for retail sale, purely being library examples. Each card has a unique necklace that can be carefully removed to be worn. As with any necklace that is almost 70 years old, the cotton may have become weak and need re-stringing.
